Project Impact brings an incredible opportunity to Purdue students. The conversations it sparks on campus make the Purdue community more diverse, and I love that about it. Being on the student planning committee provides me with a wealth of experience in planning events and working with professionals.

Project IMPACT has exposed me to new viewpoints that I had not considered as a student of politics. Through this endeavor I hope to gain a better understanding of how politics affects policy. Clearly, Project IMPACT is something unique to Purdue University- other institutions should wish to be as fortunate as Purdue.

Project Impact will aid in my pursuit to become an influential leader for future generations. My participation in Project Impact stems from my passion to understand key issues that will undoubtedly influence our daily lives. I plan to use this experience to expand my knowledge, hone my organizational skills, and provide students with the unique opportunity to gain insight on important topics that will be discussed during the 2012 presidential election. My future goals include obtaining my Doctorate of Jurisprudence, establishing myself at a
respected law firm, and serving my community as both a role model and working professional. Project Impact will allow me to better understand key issues that I plan to tackle throughout my professional career.

My first experience with Project Impact was through the 2012 Maymester. The opportunities it gave me left me with no choice but to get hooked on it. since joining the student organization I've been the Director of Technology Integration where I run the event live polling, overhauled and managed this website, and help maintain alumni relations.
Project Impact has opened the doors to so many opportunities for Purdue Students by bringing nationally recognized individuals to Purdue. After graduation, I hope to go on to work that influences domestic policy, and eventually if I prove myself, US foreign policy abroad. If you want, you can find out more about me at my Linkedin profile or my website kylemwalker.com.
